On August 10, 2010, Jack Nicklaus will host three celebrity golfers in a charity skins game - Harbor Shores Champions For Change. This one-of-a-kind event is being held to commemorate the opening of the world-class Golf Club at Harbor Shores, and to celebrate the remarkable transformation of the community at-large.

Set along the banks of the Paw Paw River and overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan, this Jack Nicklaus Signature Course meanders through wetlands, woodland backdrops and costal shorelines. The beauty of the course will serve as inspiration for local artist Joshua Andres as he creates sculptures to mark each individual golf hole.

As winter usually keeps us indoors for several months, Powell Construction has been hard at work over the winter building the first two homes in Hideaway.
The Golf Club at Harbor Shores is scheduled to open all 18-holes by July, and we are excited to announce that Jack Nicklaus will help kick off the official Grand Opening in August.
On December 18th, Harbor Shores celebrated the breaking of new ground in its first two neighborhoods, Hideaway and Fairways. Construction began on the first of the new roads in November, and now builders are beginning the foundations of new cottages in Hideway and custom homes in Fairways.
With a great summer behind us, we’re proud to look back at the progress that has been made at Harbor Shores. In our preview season, The Golf Club at Harbor Shores had more than 2,500 visitors play the first 10 open holes at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. In September, 8 holes were seeded and have since greened up nicely. With cooperative weather, The Golf Club anticipates opening the full 18-holes next summer.
Work on Harbor Shores' first 3 roads are underway in our two inaugural neighborhoods. Soon, you will be able to drive up and tour individual home sites, walk the land and imagine how your backyard will look during those stunning summer sunsets.

Since the opening of The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, we’ve had close to 2,000 golfers in our preview season. In the next couple of weeks, we will be closing shop for the season, but we are happy to announce that the remaining golf holes are were grassed several weeks ago. So if baring any unusual weather, the full 18 holes should be ready for play in June 2010.
The 6th annual Epicurean Classic, a joyous celebration of food and wine, will take place in St. Joseph, Michigan, on August 28 - 30, 2009. The international event will feature cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, receptions, dinners and more. The Epicurean Classic help put Traverse City, its previous location, on the culinary map, and the St. Joseph community is looking forward to becoming the new home of this gourmet event.
