A look back at this Summer and an exciting Fall to come!

With a great summer behind us, we’re proud to look back at the progress that has been made at Harbor Shores. In our preview season, The Golf Club at Harbor Shores had more than 2,500 visitors play the first 10 open holes at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.  In September, 8 holes were seeded and have since greened up nicely.  With cooperative weather, The Golf Club anticipates opening the full 18-holes next summer.

Earlier this summer, Jack Nicklaus made his final design visit, praising the progress of the course, "Now, it's not only a good golf course… it's beautiful. It plays nicely. It flows nicely. It's going to be something this area is going to be very proud of, and be very happy that it is here." Nicklaus will return in 2010 for the Grand Opening.

In addition to the new greenery at the golf course, significant improvements were made in Jean Klock Park with a new park entrance, new road, and a new beach boulevard.  Harbor Shores also sponsored new three new pieces of art at Jean Klock Park: Rubber Tipped Crane (by Christine Rojek), Slowly to the North (by Richard Hunt), and Glass Mosaics "Nature Surrounds Us" (by Waterstreet Glassworks/ Fired Up!).  One of the five walk-to beaches from Harbor Shores, Jean Klock Park will be visible from holes #7, #8 and #9 of The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, overlooking Lake Michigan.
