Activity heated up this Summer at Harbor Shores

09/10/2009

With summer behind us, we’re proud to look back at the progress that’s been made at Harbor Shores. Since the opening of The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, we’ve had close to 2,000 golfers in our preview season.  In the next couple of weeks, we will be closing shop for the season, but we are happy to announce that the remaining golf holes are were grassed several weeks ago.  So if baring any unusual weather, the full 18 holes should be ready for play in June 2010.

Earlier this summer, Jack Nicklaus made his final site tour, praising the progress of the course, "Now, it's not only a good golf course… it's beautiful. It plays nicely. It flows nicely. It's going to be something this area is going to be very proud of, and be very happy that it is here."

In addition to the new greenery at the golf course, Jean Klock Park also received improvements with a new beach boulevard, park entrance, and a new road. One of the five walk-to beaches from Harbor Shores, Jean Klock Park will be visible from the three holes of The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, overlooking Lake Michigan.

It’s not too late to take your own turn, golf course is open everyday except for Monday’s.  If you’d like to book a tee time for preview play at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores, call 269.927.4653 or visit www.HarborShoresGolf.com
